Angela Suh-Young Kim (she/her) is a Korean American writer, director, and producer in her final year at UCLA with a B.A. in Film, Television, & Digital Media. She is drawn to stories with philosophical and surrealist themes, drawing audiences into otherworldly landscapes to examine empathy and human psychology. Angela’s filmmaking career began as an assistant editor for McEnroe vs. McEnroe (ESPN+, 2022) and advanced through internships at NBCUniversal, Roadside Attractions, and Focus Features. Outside of filmmaking, Angela enjoys long runs with NPR’s Hidden Brain as her soundtrack, playing word games, and diving into Wikipedia rabbit holes. She is currently developing a short documentary set to enter production in 2025.
